I think Cleveland could benefit by having more professionals living in the area and this encourages that and makes it possible.

I wasn’t thinking about buying in the city. I was thinking of something in the country. I love fishing. I love hunting. But the additional funding was an incentive. I saw the benefit of being an ‘urban pioneer’ – taking a risk in building something in an urban area. I spent part of my childhood in this neighborhood. I feel I’m giving something back to the area by building something new here.

Neighbors have noticed a difference in my home since the improvements. It makes my home stand out, even though it sits way back from the road. That’s been nice.

I feel I’ve not only invested in my home, but also in the community. I try hard to make the exterior look good. I’ve planted flowers and put wreaths up to make it inviting and welcoming. I want my home to be an asset in the neighborhood.

The growth and renewal that are happening with many of the institutions and their building campaigns is extending into the neighborhoods. It’s fantastic. I hope we have more people spending time in the neighborhood and living in the area so the neighborhood will be sustained. That will improve the neighborhoods. It increases the value of your home and the neighborhood, too.
